Sponsors and Donors

Students who participate in the CARA Road Scholars program do not pay to participate. All of the equipment and fees are paid for by CARA. The CARA staff undertakes continued fund-raising efforts to fully support the students. Fortunately, the corporate and private philanthropic communities in Chicago recognize the value of the CARA Road Scholars Program and generously support it.  Through these generous contributions, CARA is able to provide each student who commits to the philosophy and rules of the CARA Road Scholars program the following items:

    • CARA Road Scholars training technical shirt and half marathon uniform
    • Running shoes (for those students committed to running the Rock-N-Roll Chicago Half Marathon)
    • Entry fees to participating races
    • Bus transportation to each CARA Road Scholars event
    • Incentives throughout the course of the program
    • Post-run refreshments
    • End of the season celebration dinner
    • Administrative support
