CARA Boston Bus

Enjoy a comfortable ride to the start with CARA

CARA members may enjoy a comfy ride and a relaxing place to prepare at the starting line of the Boston Marathon. SEATS ARE LIMITED AND ONCE BUSES ARE FULL RESERVATIONS WILL CLOSE.

What to Expect: CARA has contracted two charter buses that will take runners from Boston's Back Bay area to the Athletes Village in Hopkinton for the race start. Buses will load runners at 5:45 a.m. at the Boston Park Plaza Hotel (50 Arlington Street). Bus will depart for Hopkinton and wait near the starting line in the Athlete's Village. CARA's buses will remain there until the last runners take off for the start. This means CARA members may relax on the CARA Boston Bus until their time to go to the start line. Bus riders may check their bag with CARA staff at the bus and staff will bring bags back to the Boston Park Plaza Hotel for pick-up post race.

Alternative: The Boston Marathon participant buses load in the Boston Back Bay area. There runners must check their bag prior to boarding and then line up for loading to school buses. These school buses will drop off at the start line area and immediately depart upon arrival. Runners must wait then for their time to start. There is no gear check at the start area. Any belongings brought to the start area not needed for the run must be trashed.

Boston Bus registration is open to CARA Members only beginning MARCH 1, 2018! New members are welcome after joining. These buses will sell out very quickly. Plan ahead and be ready to reserve your spot on Feb. 21. Be sure your CARA membership is renewed atleast 72 hours prior so you will have access to the form.

It's Everything

"I love CARA because they are a fun, caring, knowledgeable, funny, patient, kind group of people. I chose to run with the 10:30 pace group only because Keith cracks me up. I may switch to the 10 minute pace group next week. "
