Global Running Day - Chicago!

June 7, 2017 - Chicago and the World

Global Running Day is a day for people around the world to celebrate the joys of running. Global Running Day is Wednesday, June 7th. As the world celebrates running on this day, CARA wants Chicagoland to run together in a series of group runs to highlight all of the great clubs, organizations, events and running stores that celebrate running everyday in our local running community!

Participation is easy—just pledge to take part in some type of running activity on June 7, 2017. It can be a solo lap around the block, a long run with friends, but what we hope is for you to join in on one of the group runs around Chicagoland. Ultimately, the key is to share your passion for the sport and inspire others to get moving.

CARA will be hosting groups runs throughout the day, and we are also working with the local running community influencers to organize runs in every part of Chicagoland. See the list of CARA hosted runs below, and click on the "Where To Run" image to see a comprehensive list of groups runs. Keep checking back as we will update the list daily until Global Running Day.
