Individual Gait Analysis

Expert Coach Bill Leach will work with you one-to-one for this in-depth, two-session gait analysis designed to identify running form errors at various paces through video analysis and personal instruction.  


Session #1: Includes in-depth individual video analysis at multiple speeds and an in-depth look at your running mechanics.

Session #2: Includes individually prescribed drills and corrective exercises to correct running form errors.


Participants will receive a regimen of drills and exercises they can continue on their own to improve their running form.  


This program is ideal for runners looking to make impactful changes to their running form with the goal of reducing injury and improving performance.  Runners can expect improved running skill, fewer aches, pains and injuries and increased running speed at all effort levels following Gait Analysis.

  • Scheduled individually after registration


Gait Analysis is provided at either the Track at Wilson or at The CARA Board/Diversey Harbor location - contact Coach Leach to confirm the location for Gait Analysis sessions.

About Coach Bill Leach


Bill Leach has 34 years of coaching and performance enhancement experience. He has served as Head Coach of Track and Field and Cross Country at the following universities:

  • University of Illinois - Chicago

  • Southeast Missouri State University

  • University of Montana

  • DePaul University


Athletic Leadership and Roles by Coach Leach:

  • Coach for the Chicago Area Runner's Association (1994 - present)

  • Tour Director for the North American Track and Field Tour (1985)

  • Race Manager for the Chicago Marathon (1979-80)

  • Member of the NCAA Track and Field Rules Committee (1977-81)

Weather Policy

Should there be inclement weather, sessions will be rescheduled.

Terms / Cancellation Policy​​

  • No refunds will be issued for any reason, including injury. Sessions are individually scheduled and may be held for a later date should a conflict arise prior to scheduling.

  • Should participants not show for their session, or cancel their session within less than one-week of the date of the session, a make-up session will not be offered.


Online Payment Fees:

Online registration payments are subject to a service fee by our registration provider. To avoid online payment fees, send a check for the amount owed to CARA, 1540 S Ashland Ave Ste 201, Chicago, IL 60608. Provide full name, e-mail, phone number, and note that check is for CSP program fees. CARA will then contact to complete registration.
