Hydration Stations

Supporting the Chicagoland community year-round!

CARA hydration stations provide all trail users hydration along the Chicago Lakefront Trail, as well as at various trail heads at suburban CARA training sites.

Hydration station serves water and Gatorade Endurance Formula, a specialized sports drink formulated with nearly 2x the sodium and 3x the potassium of traditional Gatorade. Gatorade Endurance Formula contains no artificial flavors and has a light taste. Gatorade is served on the course at the Bank of America Chicago Marathon and properly hydrating at CARA hydration stations will ensure runners are prepared for their individual hydration needs on race day.

Volunteers are needed to help operate stations. Interested persons should e-mail jillian@cararuns.org.
