While current safety measures are putting a limit on how businesses operate, many of our locally owned Chicagoland running stores have found new ways to continue to serve the running community. Here is our store-by-store guide to how these stores are adapting their services!
Whether you shop with them now or later, keep these locally-owned stores in mind for your running gear.
Fleet Feet Chicago (Chicago - Lakeview, Chicago - Lincoln Square, Chicago - Old Town, Chicago - South Loop, Deerfield, Elmhurst, Oak Park): Curbside pick up available at all locations, please call during store hours. Runners can also purchase through the online store at https://www.fleetfeet.com/s/chicago/locations.
Peak Running (Burr Ridge, Downers Grove, La Grange): Free home delivery to La Grange, Burr Ridge, Downers Grove, and surrounding areas. Available Tues-Fri (through March 30th), please call Burr Ridge location during store hours.
Running for Kicks (Palos Heights): Open and operating with increased store cleaning methods.
Xtra Mile Running (Schaumburg): Home delivery service available, with a 24hr delivery guarantee if you live within 10 miles of the store. Please call during store hours. Can pay over the phone or in-person upon delivery.
Commonwealth Running (Evanston): Store closed, but online orders shipping daily.
Dick Pond Athletics (Carol Stream, Hoffman Estates, Lisle, Park Ridge, St. Charles): Offering free home delivery (within a 10-mile radius of store locations), curbside pickup, and free shipping for call-in orders. Please call during local store location during store hours. Runners can also purchase through the online store at dickpondathletics.com.
DNA Athletics (Plainfield): To support local restaurants, customers with store gift cards can exchange their store gift cards for gift cards at select local area restaurants. Providing same day shoe delivery in areas close to store.
Fleet Feet Schererville (Schererville): Curbside pick up available at all locations, please call during store hours. Runners can also purchase through the online store at fleetfeet.com/.
Geneva Running Outfitters (Geneva): Offering delivery, check with store for details.
Human Race (Orland Park): No known changes.
Lively Athletics (Oak Park): Closed
Naperville Running Company (Naperville, Wheaton): Curbside pickup available at all store locations, please call during store hours. Runners can also purchase through the online store runningcompany.com/.
Runners High ‘n Tri (Arlington Heights): Open and offering curb pick-up, or free shipping on orders over $50.
Runner's Edge (Libertyville): Currently open regular business hours. Also offering free shipping on orders or curbside pickup as an alternative.
Running Excels (Chicago): Offering free delivery (within 5-mile radius of the store) and curbside pickup. Please call during store hours.
The Running Depot (Crystal Lake): Open, and offering free shipping.
847 Running (Libertyville): Offering curbside pick-up, and free delivery (orders $100 or more) within a 10-mile radius.
