Top 5 Reason To Run Honda Miles Per Hour

New in 2020, CARA’s Honda Miles Per Hour Run on Sunday, February 16, 2020 promises to be a truly unique experience. With this indoor, yes indoor, race coming up in just over a month, we wanted to share the top reasons we are so excited to bring this event to our Chicagoland running community!

A Comfortable Race Atmosphere

Racing in February in Chicago can be a tough feat with frigid temperatures. Opting for an indoor race means you can run comfortably, without having to worry about the threat of cold or being weighed down by bulky winter running gear. While it may be confined to the indoors, Miles Per Hour follows a spacious 2.4-mile loop to ensure that all our participants have enough space to run freely and are provided enough scenery to break the monotony of a typical indoor run on the treadmill or track.

An Opportunity To Break The Rules

Running in McCormick Place through the Auto Show floor during show hours? Probably not the best idea. Running in McCormick Place through the Auto Show floor during Miles Per Hour? Highly encouraged! This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to race in a unique setting that is not available to anyone else. Additionally, race participants will be granted early access to the show, giving you the chance to check out all the exciting exhibits before the crowds arrive.

A Chance To Team Up With Your Friends

Nothing makes a race more enjoyable than striding alongside your friends and family. We wanted to offer Miles Per Hour participants a chance to take on this hour-long challenge with their favorite running buddies! Teams of three or four are encouraged to take on our 26.2 Challenge, in which groups will attempt to cover a combined 26.2 miles within the hour time span to win additional race day swag - and bragging rights of course!

A Fusion Of Two Groups

Most races are strictly about running, which of course we love! However, events like Miles Per Hour allow for two groups to come together to celebrate not only a love of running but the automotive world as well. Whether you are a car enthusiast or not, the Auto Show creates a welcoming environment for all to explore, interact with exhibits, and spend an enjoyable day indoors with friends and family.

Accountability To Your New Year’s Resolutions

With the new year just beginning, many of us have set new goals and aspirations for 2020. A February race is the perfect motivator to stay accountable to your health and wellness resolutions. Run, walk, or jog this event. With no specified race distance, your finish line is what you make it! Whether you are looking to beat your personal best distance for an hour or just want to get moving, this event is the perfect opportunity to do so.
